There are three major sections to the book
Section 1: Walking Tours
There are three walking tours defined in this section. It starts with the town map and colored numbers where each home is located. Each number is referenced to an image of the home (shown on the right page) with a brief description of its history. The full address of the home is also included.
Section 2: House Descriptions
This section provides a more detailed description of the home and its background. Full color images of the exterior and selected interior rooms. While we can't show you full detail of every room, our goal is to give you a good understanding of its decor.
There is a half page bio of the original buildier of the home and their story.
Section 3: The Plantations
Beaufort was where the rich plantation owners escaped the opressive summer heat of South Carolina. This section documents many of the plantations of the owners of the Beaufort homes. They often owned equally extravagent homes on their estates. Detailed maps are included showing where each plantation was located.
