About Keith Hall

Keith Hall is an illustrated nonfiction author, combining historical research, photography, maps, and narrative writing to bring places and stories to life. His books are designed to be experienced visually as well as read.

Keith Hall grew up in McCammon, Idaho. When he was ten years old his family moved into town, where he attended the old McCammon School and later graduated from the newly built Marsh Valley High School.   He later graduated from the University of Utah with both a BS and an MBA.

Hall spent most of his career in the Seattle area, first working in management positions in the accounting field before founding his own software business, which he operated for fifteen years. Later he taught Economics at the University of Washington and Bellevue College.

After nearly forty-five years in the Seattle area, he returned to Idaho upon retirement and now lives in Nampa. Today Hall spends much of his time writing, traveling, and researching the stories of places and people that connect history, landscape, and community.

This project follows our recent journey along the Lower Mississippi River, exploring historic towns, river  land-scapes, and the stories of the people we encountered along the way.
I will share updates as the project develops.
